The Spotlight team wowed audiences once again with What If? A Tribute to '&Juliet'! Under the expert direction of Kaitlin Kemp (Director), Renata Ramos (Choreographer), Michelle Spencer (Set Design), and Ed Aldcroft (Music Director), the show came to life with dazzling dance routines, catchy songs, and excellent comic timing.
This reimagined story follows Juliet as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment after Romeo’s death. With a talented cast spanning Grades 6-12, some students made their stage debut, while others celebrated their 7th Spotlight production! The audience was also surprised and delighted to see two high school teachers, Mr. Hennessy and Mr. Arguelles, play a role in this year's show. It was an especially meaningful experience for the four seniors in the cast, Sofia Skeen, Marta Padrós, Sophie Gothelf, and Martina Ribas, as they took the Spotlight stage one last time.
A special shoutout to our incredible backstage crew, made up entirely of student volunteers! From building sets to managing scene changes, they ran the show with true professionalism. The entire cast and crew dedicated long hours of rehearsals since September, and it showed in their three fantastic, sold out performances!
Bravo to everyone involved for another unforgettable production!
