Last Friday, ASB hosted an AI conference for schools in EPIC (l’Associació Empresarial d’Escoles Privades Independents de Catalunya), bringing together over 25 schools from across Catalonia for a day of forward-thinking conversations about the role of AI in education.

We began with a dynamic panel of experts from across education and industry, including Joan Baltà, Ricard Huget Lego Robotics, David Alberto Canepa Talamas from Microsoft AI, and Patricia Carranzaf from Harborspace, thoughtfully moderated by two of our own 9th grade students, Martina Abad Baucells and Kieran Fort, whose presence highlighted the importance of student voice in shaping the future.

Throughout the day, ASB educators shared our own approach to AI, with Dr. Johanna Cena, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Maria Burgos, elementary Catalan teacher, offering a practical look at how AI is being used to support teaching and learning at ASB.

It was an inspiring event, one that strengthened collaboration across schools and left us all thinking more deeply about what’s possible for our students.
