On January 17, ASB alumni gathered in London for an evening filled with nostalgia, laughter, and connection. The event brought together over 30 alumni, spanning graduating classes from 1985 to 2024. Hosted by Michelle Collin, Director of Alumni Relations, and Mr. Bill Volchok, Assistant Director, the reunion provided a unique opportunity to celebrate the shared experiences that have defined generations of ASB students.

Among the highlights of the evening was the presence of former faculty member Mr. Juan Hernando, now teaching at the American School in London. His attendance added an extra layer of warmth to the gathering, as he reconnected with former students and colleagues.
For many attendees, the event was a walk down memory lane. Several ASB lifers—students who attended the school from PK to G12—were delighted to reunite with their former Early Childhood Center principal, Ms. Christina Torrengo. Meanwhile, recent graduates from the Class of 2024 caught up with High School Principal Mr. Omar Ugalde and Director Mark Pingitore, both of whom were in London for faculty recruitment.

The evening also featured a special reunion for alumna Ms. Marta Vernet ’85, ASB’s Head of Activities and Community Service. She reconnected with several classmates who traveled from across the UK to attend the event, underscoring the enduring bonds forged during their time at ASB.
The London reunion served as a beautiful reminder of the lifelong connections and cherished memories that define the ASB community. Alumni left the event with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation for future opportunities to come together and celebrate their shared heritage.
