Student Ambassadors Steal the Show at Open House

Student Ambassadors Steal the Show at Open House

On Saturday, January 25, ASB held an Open House for a wide range of prospective families considering ASB as a school for their children. The cafeteria was packed by 11:00am when the event started. While the prospective parents appreciated the information provided to them in presentations by school Director Mark Pingitore, Assistant Director Bill Volchok, the Admissions Team and the ES, MS and HS principals, what they really enjoyed about the event was seeing ASB students in action.

High School students Francisca A., Emma S., Mykyta D., Luka T. (11th) and Sisi G. (10th) and Middle School students Andrea S., Alma T. and Biel L. (7th) registered the families at the entrance, answered questions in a panel, and led tours of the school. Prospective families were impressed with their ability to communicate with confidence, think quickly on their feet, display a wide range of knowledge, and share their passion for the school.

Elementary Ambassadors Abril G., Lea P., Dede G. and Mika M. (4th grade), for their part, enthusiastically assisted Ms. Kristen MacConnell in her presentation of that division’s program. They showed that younger children can make great ambassadors too as they adeptly shared with prospective parents what goes on in the elementary school.

The Admissions Team would like to thank all of these ambassadors for helping give prospective parents a good idea of what ASB is all about - and for showing how cool ASB students are!
