Welcoming the Year of the Horse at ASB

Welcoming the Year of the Horse at ASB

ASB was thrilled to welcome more than 80 parents and staff as we kicked off our Chinese New Year celebrations, marking the Year of the Horse. Parents and staff gathered on campus for a festive Chinese New Year coffee with the Director and Leadership Team.

A crowded room filled with people in red and purple clothing, seated around tables and enjoying various snacks and decorations, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.

We are especially grateful to our Chinese families, whose generosity and partnership helped bring the celebration to life. A vibrant dragon procession moved through classrooms, filling the campus with energy, excitement, and joy for students and adults alike.

A group of people, some wearing traditional Chinese costumes, gathered on a sports field with colorful dragon decorations in the background.

We also deeply appreciated community members who shared how Chinese New Year is celebrated in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and mainland China, enriching our understanding of the many traditions connected to this important holiday. Chinese New Year is part of the broader Lunar New Year period celebrated across many cultures throughout Asia. This year’s zodiac animal, the Horse, symbolizes energy, strength, optimism, and forward movement, qualities that reflect the spirit of our school community.

A group of young women, some wearing bright colors, are gathered around a table in what appears to be a home setting, with decorative elements visible in the background.

At ASB, we are proud to celebrate the rich diversity of our international community. Events like this offer meaningful opportunities to honor traditions, learn from one another, and strengthen the connections that make our community so special.

祝大家馬年新春快樂! 🧧
