G4 Science Symposium: Exploring Earth's Processes

G4 Science Symposium: Exploring Earth's Processes

This trimester, our 4th graders delved into the fascinating topic of Earth’s processes, investigating essential questions like:

  • How does the Earth's surface change over time?
  • How does understanding these processes help us prepare for natural disasters?
  • What actions can humans take to mitigate their effects?
  • Why is sharing scientific research important?

By the end of the unit, students demonstrated impressive skills, including:

  • Writing informational texts about Earth’s processes.
  • Explaining how wind, water, and internal forces reshape the Earth’s surface.
  • Analyzing patterns on maps and documents to better understand Earth’s changes.
  • Designing and evaluating solutions to real-world problems.
