4th Grade Interviews the Mayor of Esplugues

Our 4th graders recently visited the Esplugues de Llobregat City Hall as part of their unit on the political organization of Spain and Catalunya. During their visit, they had the unique opportunity to meet the Mayor of Esplugues, Eduard Sanz.

Students asked thoughtful questions like, "How do you decide what to spend tax revenue on?" and "What projects are you working on to make the citizens of Esplugues happier?" They also inquired about plans to support those without housing.

The visit gave students valuable insight into the mayor's responsibilities and how he began his career in local politics. It was a memorable, real-world civics lesson that brought their classroom learning to life!
