5A Raised Funds for First Ever School Trip for the Dukwi Refugees

We are thrilled to share that 61 refugees from the primary school in Dukwi refugee camp in Botswana recently participated in their first-ever school trip to Gaborone! This incredible opportunity was made possible by the efforts of the ASB community, led by 5A students, who raised over 2,700€. The funds were used to cover the cost of transportation and meals for the children.

During the trip, the students visited several exciting and educational destinations, including a museum, the Ministry of Justice, and the Lions Park Resort amusement park.

A special thanks goes to the 5A students and their dedicated teachers—Ms. Cathi, Ms. Andrea, and Ms. Anna—whose tireless work in organizing this service-learning project brought the experience to life. Through their participation, the students were able to integrate academic subjects such as math, language arts, and social studies with vital life skills, including communication, leadership, and creativity.
