Lynx Player and Coach Represent Spain at the European Flag Football Championships

Three years ago, Laura Salvador Gibert (grade 12) began her flag football journey at ASB. Since then, she has continued to grow within the Lynx program, developing her skills across multiple positions, including running back and blitzer.

This season, Laura reached an exciting milestone in that journey when she was selected to represent Spain’s U17 Women’s National Team at the IFAF Flag Football European Championships in Italy.

Her opportunity to compete on the international stage is an exciting achievement for Laura and a proud moment for the ASB Lynx Flag Football program.

The Lynx were also represented on the Spanish national team coaching staff. Roger Montolio, Head Coach of Spain’s U17 Women’s National Team, joined the Lynx coaching staff last year and works closely with ASB’s high school flag football program. His experience, knowledge, and passion for the sport have made him a valuable resource for both Lynx players and coaches.

Seeing a Lynx player and coach representing Spain on the international stage is another exciting step in the continued growth of flag football at ASB.
