ASB Hosts AMIS Honor Orchestra and Composers' Symposium

The week leading into Spring Break, ASB hosted the AMIS European High School Honor Orchestra and Composers' Symposium.

The orchestra was an audition based ensemble of 59 musicians from 16 international schools across Europe and Africa, conducted by Agata Zając. The composers symposium brought together seven students from three international schools and was facilitated by Marcel Pusey.

This year, ASB was proud to have seven students participate in the festival, demonstrating their commitment to high artistic standards and meaningful collaboration with peers.

Throughout the three day event, students engaged in intensive rehearsals and composition sessions, culminating in a special assembly performance for Elementary School students and a final Gala Concert on Saturday evening for families and community members. The composers also had the opportunity to present original works performed by the orchestra.
