ASB Hosts Successful Inter School Debate Friendly

This past Saturday, ASB hosted a high-energy Interschool Debate Friendly, bringing together 6th to 10th graders from ASB, the British School of Barcelona, and the German School of Barcelona.

It was a fantastic day for our Oracy program, led by MS/HS Oracy Coach, Ms. Anca Niculescu, and Assistant Coach, Sam Dowell, with 17 ASB students participating in workshops and competitive rounds. Our students delivered debates on complex topics with great poise.

A huge shout-out to our seniors, Alexis, Luna, and Annika, who led workshops, judged rounds, and managed the tally room.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to ASB alumni Jake Anderson '20 and the parents who made this event possible: Shiyin Wang for his vital role in planning and leading the judging workshop, as well as Mark Vasallo, Patricia Soler Herrero, and Peggy Perlmeter for serving as our guest judges.
