Congratulations to 11th graders Andrii B., Arseni K., and Sum Yin Z. for taking 1st place at the HP CodeWars Coding Competition—an intense three-hour challenge featuring over 350 students from across Spain! The event took place at HP’s Innovation and Design Center in Sant Cugat, where teams of three, sponsored by a teacher and their school, competed to solve complex coding problems.
While they didn’t compete this year, 9th graders Tal R. and Ayaan T. were an integral part of the team, training together since January.
As champions, Andrii, Arseni, and Sum Yin each won an HP laptop and plane tickets to Houston to compete in the HP Codewars 2026 event!
A huge thank you to our IB Computer Science teacher and coach, Andrew Carle, for his guidance in helping these students achieve this incredible success!
