The 9th grade class recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Madrid, where language learning came to life through culture and history.
The visit began in the Barrio de las Letras, the historic literary quarter once home to renowned writers such as Miguel de Cervantes, Lope de Vega, and Francisco de Quevedo. Students then walked along the Paseo del Prado and visited the Prado Museum, where they experienced some of Spain’s most celebrated works of art.

The group also traveled to Alcalá de Henares, exploring Cervantes’ family home and gaining insight into daily life in 17th century Spain.

In addition to these cultural experiences, students enjoyed time together in Parque de El Retiro, strengthening connections with their peers.
Overall, the trip provided a meaningful opportunity to deepen students’ understanding of the Spanish language and culture.
Thank you so much to the many ASB chaperones who made this trip possible!
