“Pages for Good” is a student-led initiative founded by Luna Monje Indahsari (’26) with the mission to create children’s books for young English learners in communities affected by income and education inequality.
The project was inspired by Luna’s visit to her home country, Indonesia, where she saw firsthand how many children lacked access to quality books and learning materials. Motivated to make a difference, she set out to create engaging and accessible picture books that would spark creativity, foster a love of reading, and support English language development.

With the help of 26 high school classmates and the guidance of ASB teachers and staff, the team produced two original picture books, which were introduced this past summer at a local school in Jakarta. The books were used as part of English lessons and remain in the school’s library for students to enjoy.

Building on this success, the “Pages for Good” team plans to expand its reach this year, bringing the books to Botswana, Peru, and potentially local Barcelona schools through ASB’s Sharing to Learn program.
Driven by collaboration, creativity, and compassion, the students behind “Pages for Good” hope to continue producing books that encourage a love of reading.
