Grade 10 Explores History in Berlin and Krakow

Grade 10 Explores History in Berlin and Krakow

As part of their history studies on the socio-political context of WWII, the rise of fascism, and the Holocaust, Grade 10 students embarked on a powerful and immersive trip to Berlin and Krakow.

Over the course of a week, they visited significant historical sites, including former concentration camps, memorials, and museums that honor and preserve the memory of this tragic period.

Walking through these sites, students confronted history firsthand, gaining a deeper understanding of its impact and relevance today. The experience added depth and perspective to their classroom learning, encouraging reflection on themes of human rights, responsibility, and resilience.

Beyond their historical exploration, students also had the chance to discover the vibrant culture of both cities. Scavenger hunts and park visits allowed them to experience the cities in a different light, and they enjoyed tasting local cuisine along the way. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience.
