On Wednesday morning, we had the amazing opportunity to learn from Dr. Rich Hallett of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service. In our citizen science training session, Dr. Hallett shared his insights on urban tree health and innovative monitoring methods and technologies. A group of 9th and 11th grade students engaged in hands-on activities, gaining valuable skills to assess tree health and contribute to scientific studies, including Dr. Hallett’s “Healthy Trees, Healthy Cities” program. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Dr. Hallett through EcoClub and science courses, such as G9 Science of the Earth and Environment and IB Environmental Systems & Societies classes.
Thank you, Dr. Hallett, for inspiring us to care for our local trees!
