Congratulations to our students for an inspiring three days at the ISTA festival in Syracuse, Italy!
Working alongside professional theatre artists and peers from six other European schools, they collaborated to devise an original piece that blended contemporary creativity with the rich history of Syracuse. Immersed in the city's stories, they connected with the legacy of Emperor Federico II, exploring the theme of light and dark and connecting medieval life and modern performance. Their rehearsal and final presentation in Castello Maniace made the experience unforgettable.
These eight students, accompanied by theatre teachers Kaitlin Kemp and Jennifer Parnall, demonstrated remarkable creativity, curiosity, and open-mindedness throughout the festival. They embraced new theater making techniques, shared cultural perspectives, and supported one another. Their dedication not only produced a moving and memorable performance, but also deepened their understanding of theatre as a living conversation with history and community. Bravo to the whole group for representing our school with passion and professionalism!
