HS Students Share Heartfelt Stories at The Moth

ASB’s second annual Moth Storytelling event brought an evening of heartfelt stories and powerful connections.

Inspired by The Moth, a nonprofit organization known for its live storytelling events, the program invites speakers to share true personal stories that highlight the shared experiences that bring communities together.

This student-led initiative featured ten High School students who took the stage to present stories that ranged from personal health challenges to wilderness adventures to reflections on life. Their openness, humor, and thoughtful delivery demonstrated the continued growth of ASB’s Oracy program, which emphasizes confident communication and authentic expression.

The event was led by Ona Pingitore (G12) and a dedicated team of students and supported by faculty coaches Ms. Kaitlin and Ms. Niculescu. ASB also welcomed guest writing coach Dr. Mary Ehrenworth, whose expertise and preparation played an important role in helping students refine their narratives.

Congratulations to all who participated in this inspiring evening, and thank you to the organizers for creating a meaningful space for student voices to be heard.
