This week, we have five 11th grade students (Luna de la Rosa, Luka Tabakovic, Sum Yin Zhang, Jaime Ordoñez, and Bojun Pan) competing in our first-ever Formula 1 in Schools national competition for a chance to represent Spain in the World Championship in Singapore next October.

Our students began working on the design of their car last October. They not only conducted hundreds of tests to arrive at the right design, but also sourced manufacturers from around the world. Some of the car's components came from China; the front and rear wings were produced in Germany, and the body was created using CNC machining in Madrid.
These students also reached out to companies to find sponsors and help cover the costs. From June 17–19, they will be competing. This Tuesday, their car underwent over an hour of intense scrutiny and received an impressive score of 95/100, with only a 5-point deduction for minor details.

This Thursday, they will compete against 18 other teams for a place in the World Finals. We are incredibly proud of these students. This is their first time competing, and what began as a passion project has brought them closer together.
Wish them good luck—we hope to share even more exciting news in the coming days!
