LynxMUN 2025: MS & HS Students Tackle Global Issues

LynxMUN 2025: MS & HS Students Tackle Global Issues

This past week students participated in the 2nd edition of our internal Model United Nations conference, LynxMUN.

Over 80 students from 7th, 8th and 9th grade explored topics surrounding the Legacy of Colonization, such as economic disparities, the refugee crisis, human trafficking, ethnic conflicts, militias, and nuclear capabilities.

The event was guided by guest speakers like Ms. Maggie Stuhan (Middle School Principal) and Elisabeth Van Meer (Class of 2024 alum, now studying at St. Andrew’s), alongside the 2025 Executive Committee, Aitana V. (10), Elise M. (11), Emma S. (11), Sofia G. (11), Christina D. (10), and MUN Directors, Ms. Monica Villanueva and Mr. Thom Gibbs.

The two-day conference offered not only an opportunity for students to discuss global issues, collaborate and learn new perspectives as delegates, but also to organize and prepare the event by forming part of the media, admin, chair and executive team.

Congratulations to all students who participated in LynxMUN 2025 and we look forward to next year’s edition!
