This past weekend, ASB Oracy proudly hosted the annual tournament of the newly formed Iberian Oracy League (Feb 7-9), bringing together 80 students from six schools for an exciting three-day competition. Among them, 16 ASB middle school students and 17 ASB high school students showcased their public speaking and debate skills across six challenging events: Debate, Duet Acting, Impromptu Duet Acting, Impromptu Speaking, Original Oratory, and Oral Interpretation of Literature. The tournament wrapped up with a thrilling finals round, where students earned gold, silver, and bronze medals for their outstanding performances.
The event was expertly planned and led by Oracy veterans Luna, Quinten, Annika, Sami, and Rafa, whose dedication—alongside oracy coaches Ms. Anca and Mr. Miguel and student coaches Alexis, Clara, and Ayaan—made the tournament a resounding success.
A huge thank you to our ASB community of staff, parents, and students who generously volunteered their time to judge and support the event. Your contributions made this tournament possible!
A special shout out to the Elementary Choir, which opened the ceremonies with a beautiful rendition of "Yo Vivo Cantando". You can view their performance here.
Congratulations to all participants, and thank you for making this an unforgettable event!
