On November 23, our middle school mathletes showcased their skills at the Barcelona International Mathematics Competition, hosted by Benjamin Franklin International School, competing against four other Barcelona schools.
In the individual competition, seventh grader George Wu achieved an impressive 1st place finish, with Mars Huang close behind in 2nd place.
Our teams also excelled in the team competition. The 1st place team included seventh graders Zihui Shu, Jack Biggs, and George Wu, while eighth graders Martina Abad Baucells, Mars Huang, and Joshua Ning secured 3rd place overall. Another eighth-grade team—Unai Barcena Flames and Carl Kristensson—earned a commendable 4th place finish.
We are incredibly proud of all our talented mathematicians and their hard work. Congratulations to everyone who participated!
