Rotakids Connect with Masai Village to Support Water and Education

Rotakids recently hosted Mercedes Salvador and Daniel Kereto in a video conference to learn about their project to bring clean water and a pre-school to Daniel's Masai village in Tanzania. Mr. Kereto shared that girls and women in his community walk three hours each day carrying 20 kilos of water on their backs.

Sixth grader Mara helped everyone understand just how heavy that is by demonstrating what 20 kilos of water feels like.

The image shows two people, an adult and a child, standing in front of a colorful classroom backdrop with various educational elements.

Inspired by their story, Rotakids will brainstorm ways to support the project, because we all agree that water is life.
