Our Approach

High school at ASB is a transformative experience where students shape their identities and build essential skills for life as young adults.

Through research-based best practices, ASB delivers a rigorous and meaningful educational experience that challenges every student to reach their full potential.

Recognizing the uniqueness of each learner, ASB offers opportunities for students to explore their passions—whether in sports, performing arts, global politics, or other areas. We encourage students to be independent, lifelong learners with a commitment to service. 

My goal is to provide students with a high school program that balances both academic rigor and enrichment activities with real world experiences. Equally important, we want to take care of the wellbeing of our students and ensure that they have the confidence to pursue their dreams.

Graduation Pathways

Understanding that every student’s journey is unique, ASB offers multiple graduation pathways. All students who complete either the IBDP or the IBCP also earn an American High School Diploma.

Since 2009, ASB has proudly offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), a globally recognized pre-university curriculum known for its rigor and emphasis on critical thinking.

Starting in September 2025, ASB will introduce the International Baccalaureate Career-related Program (IBCP). The IBCP blends the academic rigor of the IB Diploma Program with specialized career-related studies and hands-on, real-world experience.

University and Career Counseling

Guided by a team of counselors with expertise in American, British, Spanish, and other international universities, our students gain admission into top universities around the world. Each student is assigned a dedicated counselor to help guide them through the decision-making and the application process. 

In addition to individual advising, we offer workshops, presentations and other resources for parents and students to help explain the university admissions process, as well as potential career options. ASB also holds meet and greets for numerous university representatives throughout the year.

Through a combination of individualized and group counseling, our dedicated team of counselors is committed to helping every student find their best fit university and plan for their future.

Personal and Academic Counseling

ASB offers a comprehensive personal and academic counseling program designed to support students in every aspect of their development. A robust advisory curriculum focuses on essential life skills, equipping students to make informed decisions about their health and social-emotional well-being. For students with diverse learning needs, our dedicated learning support program provides tailored assistance to ensure academic success. Counseling services include individual and small group sessions, as well as classroom guidance lessons, creating a supportive environment where every student can thrive both personally and academically.
