RefugArt
Founded in 2016 by three ASB alumni, RefugArt is an annual student-led fundraising event that combines the power of art and philanthropy to raise awareness of and funds for the global refugee crisis.
Every year, the student-led Executive Committee chooses a different issue related to displaced persons and invites all school students to create original artwork around it that is sold at the RefugArt evening event.
Proceeds from the auction are donated to the UNHCR and other non-profit organizations that support refugee causes. For the same event, the committee invites expert guest speakers to share their knowledge of the refugee experience and how we can help.
Since its founding through 2023, RefugArt has raised more than 81,000€ to support refugees around the world. Visit the student website here.
Art builds empathy, and empathy builds change.
