Service Learning

Community engagement is a fundamental part of life at the American School of Barcelona. At ASB, we follow the service learning approach, which integrates meaningful service projects to affect positive change in the community.

Students intentionally focus on the process and reflect on the learning experience. They learn about the society in which they live, become more empathetic, and develop important organizational, communication and other key life skills.

Service learning opportunities are both integrated into the curriculum, as well as offered throughout the year as after-school programs, overnight and extended trips.
